The 14th Annual Face of Pharmacy brings students, faculty and the associations’ professional and student membership together to allow legislators “see” pharmacy practice and support legislative changes to permit wider adoption and implementation of clinical pharmacy services, including point of care testing and expansion of collaborative practice!

 


3:00-5:00 pm: Demonstration tables, staffed by APPE students, preceptors, and faculty provide free services to the legislators such as:
  • Hypertension & chronic disease screening
  • Body fat analysis
  • Medication therapy management
  • Medication counseling
Other tables highlight progressive and successful practices of pharmacy in the state, including representatives from your state pharmacy associations. Come interact with your colleagues at the tables and learn what changes in pharmacy YOU should promote with your state policymakers!

Leaders from all facets of pharmacy will present brief remarks on the successes and challenges facing pharmacists this legislative session.
