Title"What the Pharmacy Team Should Know About the RI Department of Health (RIDOH)"

The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This is an application-based educational activity. Pharmacists will receive 1.0 contact hour (0.10 CEUs) for the educational activity. No partial credit is available.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to:

1. Identify what is a reportable illness and the role of the RI Department of Health (RIDOH).

2. Describe HIV PrEP and Doxy PEP.

3. Compare and contrast, surveillance, disease characteristics, clinical presentations and prevention and treatments of COVID, Influenza, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)


At the completion of this activity, pharmacy technicians will be able to:

1. Identify what is a reportable illness and the role of the RI Department of Health (RIDOH).

2. Describe HIV PrEP and Doxy PEP.

3. Identify key differences in COVID, Influenza, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) signs and symptoms.


EQUIREMENTS FOR REPORTING CE: Participants must login to the URI Continuing Professional Development Learning Management System at https://www.uripharmacycpd.org/ to complete evaluations and report ce participant data within 60 days following the live activity. Access codes will be given at the conclusion of the learning activity; learners must be present for the full session to receive the online evaluation access code and receive credit. Upon successful completion of the online program evaluation, cpe participant data will be automatically uploaded to the CPE Monitor and posted to the participant’s account within 72 hours.  Participants should verify their CE data was successfully transmitted to the CPE Monitor at mycpemonitor.net.
