Committees

Our committees are looking for members for 2018-19! This is a great way to get to know the organization better and become involved.  General descriptions are included below but may be adjusted to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Awards and Recognition: responsible for actively soliciting and nominating award recipients and working with Membership Committee to identify members to highlight on website and social media
  • Bylaws: responsible for reviewing and updating current bylaws annually
  • Communications: responsible for coordinating communications to members; updating website content; maintaining social media outlets
  • Events: responsible for coordinating at least two social and/or professional events for members and working with student liaison to engage with URI students (Cheers/Beers with Peers, Town Hall meetings, Golf, etc)
  • Fundraising: responsible planning and coordinating fundraising events/efforts including but not limited to the annual raffle and golf outing
  • Legislative: responsible for identifying, reviewing, and disseminating pertinent legislative and regulatory information to the Council of Administration and membership
  • Membership: responsible for coordinating member recruitment/retention efforts, updating member profiles, and gauging member needs/benefits; organizing Pharmacy Month engagement efforts with Events and Communications Committees
  • Professional Development: responsible for coordination of Spring Seminar and other professional development programming, including recruitment of speakers and sponsors
